what an adorable family! had we started just 15 minutes later- i’m pretty sure our session wouldn’t have even happened! we took a few shots in the front of old town spring, and i knew i wanted to go further back, so to save time we drove instead of walked. once we got out of our cars, started shooting just a little a bit it started to rain. thankfully old town spring is made up of a lot of little shops that have of front porches that we just made the best out of our rainy situation and hopped door to door.  and though little benjamin is new to walking,  he played it cool and pretty much stayed close which made shooting easier.

thanks guys for hanging in there despite the weather. i’m thrilled we got some fun images!

you may remember becky from her engagement session with her fiance toby. last night they got married and had an INCREDIBLY GORGEOUS ceremony at paraiso maravilla.

i’ve been dying to post this session, and couldn’t wait for them to get married so i could!

holy wow. i LOVED this bridal session! last night brett & christian got married and i am so excited that i can now share this awesome session.

rarely have my “day afters” actually been the day after the wedding. but yes- this one was.

and where better to be than in a romantic grove of trees?

and it was a “t&a” wedding.

my BEST FRIEND of TWENTY SEVEN years (yes- 27!) got married. and no, i did not shoot her wedding- i happened to be the matron of honor. (and why does the word “matron” make me feel so dang old?)  honestly, if life allowed you the power to mutate and be two people at once i would have loved to have done both! and while that clearly isn’t possible- the next best thing was to be able to shoot a “day after” with them. let me just say- these two are TROOPERS. not only did they plan their exquisite wedding, get married,  and celebrate with their amazing families- they woke up at the crack of dawn so we could play photo session in pastures. (oh, and their brunch was immediately after our session!)

newborn session - houston, tx

newborn evan, liz, and taylor were awesome. liz contacted me in early september to set up a newborn session for the end of october. who would have know just one week later she would have contacted me to tell me we had to push up her session because little evan decided to be born 6 weeks early! little evan was born sept. 6th at 4 pds 13 ounces and by the time i got to photograph him he was weighing in at 5 pds! i usually will only photograph newborns 2 weeks and newer, however at 3 weeks old little evan was so tiny, pliable, and still soooo sleepy. he seriously was a dream newborn to work with. not to mention liz and taylor are amazing parents!
