family reunion portrait session - new braunfels, tx
how awesome to see so many beautiful families ALL TOGETHER AT ONCE. amazing. how lucky these little children are to have cousins all around the same age that they will grow up with! you guys were so much fun to be around and thank you for having me come out to new braunfels to be a part of it. what a blast to get a week to just hang out at a vacation home and chill with the ones you love. (though i’m guessing the drawback would be 9 kids up really early in the morning….hmmm.)
where does this begin? because it could get a little confusing but it’s sort of a fun little side story of how small this world is! kelsey (the cute blondy with short hair and 3 little guys) had told me she knew she wanted me to come photograph them after she had seen THIS newborn session I had done over a year ago (brace yourself, this is from my old blog). i of course said yes, but the interesting part is– that client from the newborn session, is a close girlfriend of mine janica. janica (or also refered to as jbo, or juicifroot) and i had met prior to that session while i was shooting some products for a company called comfy joey and quickly became friends shortly after. and in the course of the last year she herself has taken on a love for photography… take a look. i mention this comfy joey company because they sale baby carriers, and in the small world we live in- kelsey, janica, and i were all on the same baby mothering forum (tbw) for years, so it was only natural for me to bring her with me to help me shoot this reunion.
and if this makes no sense to you- no worries. i know it makes sense to a few that are visiting.
love this one jbo snapped of me shooting the couples. (ladies, don’t be jealous of my roots)

or should i better say with *this* photo - one big happy family!

ps. please note. when given a 30% chance of rain in the forecast- come prepared that of course when you are shooting 5 families, half which are little children that 30% chance is in fact going to happen then.
