It’s that time of year. Decisions to make, frames to purchase….

Please contact me at 411@rebeccalinhrodgers.com if you have any questions.
If your online gallery has expired, please contact me and I will reactivate it.
THANK YOU!
And what is a blog post without a photo…
This is where I spend most of my days:

With the exception of my end of the year weddings, I have decided not to shoot in December. (The *only* exception will be for newborns 2 weeks and under)
I’d like to spend the least amount of time here in December. Please let that happen. Deadline on time.
My girlies will thank you.

Back in January I was asked by the Expectant Mother’s Guide if they could use one of my then recent maternity photos for one of their Fall ‘08 covers. I was thrilled and agreed- and it is so crazy that 10 (almost 11) crazy months have passed so quickly.
This was from a maternity session done of one of my dearest friend Janica. A few weeks later I had the honor of coming to her home and doing a newborn session with the little baby that was in her belly. (I also did a little slideshow.)
I’m so excited. I can’t wait to get the copies in the mail!
It’s been a while since I’ve done a maternity session- and I am overwhelmed with new ideas!
If you are pregnant and would like a fun, modern, no gauze, maternity session, please visit my website: rebeccalinhrodgers.com for more information. Maternity/Newborn and Baby’s First Year packages are also available.
finally folks!! my SITE RELAUCHED!
Thursday, August 14th, 2008
It’s a week shy of my website anniversary and I am so pleased to announce the relaunch of my website!
Going into redoing my site I had NO idea how much time it would take. Thank you to my dear logo designer Taz, who created my new logo (lovin’ the new colors!) and that cute little r-lr mark you see. The new branding really suits me and I am SO excited to put all her designs to use! Branding really is the tie that binds.
You also may notice the volume control to the right of the photo. Yes folks- I’ve added music! I know this is totally not a new concept, but if you know me you may know that I had huge dislike for music on websites. Really, only for the sake that other’s people music piped in from websites made random, nerve-jerking, remixes when clashed with/over my itunes. After much thought though, I’m over it and it makes me happy to tap my toes while looking at my images.
(I also LOVE the chosen songs!) It was awesome to revisit my images from this last year, I can’t believe I had not updated my photos since last January! I’ll NEVER wait that long to update. This relaunch has been planned for months- and taken weeks to execute.
So, if you have met me over the last 8 months– you may see some familiar faces sprinkled throughout the site.
Please go check out my relaunched website:

And there is more: Still to come this fall will be my gallery just devoted to wedding images. I am really excited to launch this after a year of collecting fun, fresh, and real life wedding images. Also a few bits and pieces of the blog to be changed. Stay tuned!
What an exciting first year to have. I can only imagine what will happen this next coming year. Thanks you clients, friends, family, and fellow photographers. for making this what it is. I’m in la-la-land and you have made it possible for me to be here. I am forever grateful!
xoxo, r-lr
Chriselda -not just anybody.
Monday, August 4th, 2008Sometimes people unexpectedly come into our lives so suddenly and before you know it months go by and wham- calls are daily, texts messages are frequent—and laughs are shared over and over again. And then after the stories are shared, the inside jokes are created, your curious as to how life functioned without this person.
My good buddy and fellow photographer Chriselda came from Amarillo to Houston for one of her photo sessions. I was thrilled to have her come stay with me as well as shoot with her again. Chriselda and originally met earlier this year when she invited me to shoot Laura and Will’s wedding with her after I expressed interested in diving into wedding photography. An experience that I am so thankful for as it turned a dream of mine into a reality.
One could easily call this trip a bust. From travel issues Chriselda faced when she arrived here, to limited Ikea visits due to 3 year old goodness, and ridiculous Houston torrential downpours that kept us from shooting we could have been bummed that it was a weekend that well- wasn’t.
Chriselda and I giggled with laptops in hand over coffee (in the am) and wine (in the pm). And couldn’t help but giggle like we were in high school to downright laugh so hard we were doubled over and couldn’t breathe. One would think two photographers would document these moments in photos— but we didn’t with the exception of this photo (by Chriselda). We managed to try to relax, get some work done, and well… insult each other to unreasonable extents and laugh some more.
I’d write more but she keeps distracting me.
Great thing is- I get to see her next week when we get to bang out a double-header weekend of weddings. Should I thank her now for what I consider to be a paid vacation?
Travel + good photography + great job + amazing friend = one happy girl (me).

I razz her b/c I think macs and iphones are way cooler then pc’s and blackberrys. I think deep down inside she knows.
And yes- she retouched her feet to make them look cuter. (ha!) And goodness gracious- the girl could have totally hooked up some polish on my highly neglected alien toes!!
(Just asking…)
